Alamina Beach House was built originally in 1975 by Norman Alamina, a boat builder and lifelong resident of Caye Caulker. It is one of a few original clapboard island homes that remain on Caye Caulker's beachfront, having survived Hurricane Mitch and Hurricane Keith. Over the years he added on to the building and it now houses Caribbean Colors Art Gallery, Lighthouse Ice Cream Parlor and Rasta Pasta Restaurant on the first floor, and three large apartments on the second floor.
